South Wall Assembly
With such a large wall, and such a tall stem-wall to put it on, we opted to build the entire wall flat on the slab. From rough framing to finish paint, it was all done on the slab to reduce the amount of time needed on a ladder later on. As it is, to paint the eaves on the south side, it will require more than 20 feet worth of ladder.
My Father-in-law Jeff came up to help with a lot of the assembly. Having another builder to help out makes a BIG difference!
Rough framing was assembled using gun driven 16D vinyl coated sinkers. The siding was pre-primed, then attached using gun driven 8D ring shank galvanized nails.
