Slab prep

After final grading and compacting was done, I went to work on digging the "beams" for the slab and the pads for the lift.  The slab itself will be between 4 and 5 inches thick.  The beams, roughly 6 inches thick, and the pads for the lift, 8 inches thick.

I also set the screed boards, formed up the dug-out for the utility sink, rolled out the 6mil vapor barrier, and got the rebar laid out.

The only think left to do prior to pouring is to tie the rebar.

I also formed up for the slab in front of the man-door.... just incase the concrete truck has some extra mud.
