Roofing

I have never enjoyed roofing.  And this particular roof was a bit tough.  Until now, I had never roofed anything more steep than a 4/12 roof.  This roof is 6/12.  Doesn't seem like much, but the difference is painfully obvious when you are roofing such a tall building.

Both Jeff and I opted to use roped for security.  And since the roof had no vents or anything to work around, things went smoothly.  Aside from the occasional hammer, utility knife, or tape measure sliding off the roof, the install went incident free!

The color we chose is called "Weatherwood", it is a 30 year roof made by IKO. 

For now the roof will be mismatched from that of the house.    Next summer we will tackle the house roof.
