Forms

With the footings dug, cleaned out, and set to the proper depth, we could start forming the outside of the footing.  Because of a few reasons, we also had to form a bit of the inside al well. 

Rebar connections to the existing slab were also made, and will tie into the footing rebar later.  These connections were made using a hammer drill, and Simpson Epoxy.

Also note the existing drain pipe that crosses the footing.  This is a gutter drain pipe for the house.  The footing was dug deeper at this point, rebar bent around it, and the concrete will pour right over it.
