and trench backfilled.

This week I had the new service fired up.  The utility company came in, cut the old line, tapped into it, and fed the new meter base.  I met the guy at the house, and went to town re-wiring the old box, and tied everything up in the old-meter base (now a pull-in box).  All connections were made with large cable connectors, and wrapped well with friction tape.  Everything went smoothly, and both the garage and hose are on the new service!

This weekend we also got the chance to backfill the ditch.  We did it by hand.... oh what a chore!
