I picked up a few items from work a few months ago. 

First up is a service entrance/meter box.  Second, is a large 200Amp Load Center breaker box.  Third and final item is a 125Amp 220V Breaker to supply power to the house.

The Service Entrance/Meter box will be surface mounted on the outside of the garage.  Service will be from underground.  That means more digging!

The 200Amp Load Center box will be flush mounted on the inside of the garage, directly above the meter.

The 125A breaker will supply power to the house, and all other breakers will supply power to the garage.
